The price follows the coverage map

Helm's prices follow its coverage. When a major new source lands, the list price rises for new customers first: founding subscribers keep their starting price for their first 24 months, and any change after that comes with 60 days notice, from your next billing cycle, never mid-cycle.

The reason is not just more data. Every added source means more tenders and grants for Helm's AI engine to analyse: every record is scored against your profile, matched semantically, and available for deep reads and drafting. That analysis runs on real compute, and it grows with every source we add. A bigger coverage map is a bigger brain doing more work per customer. The price of joining later reflects that. Founding members stay ahead of it: 24 months locked, and a preferential rate after.

The thinking behind the tiers

The prices in this section are the monthly-billing rates, ex GST, with the GST-inclusive total in brackets. The toggle above shows the annual rates, which take 20% off the ex-GST base; GST applies to the discounted amount.

Watcher is free forever because seeing the market should cost nothing. Federal feeds, basic matching and a weekly digest, capped at 3 tracked opportunities. It is enough to learn whether government work is real for your business before you spend a dollar.

Tracker ($99 a month + GST, $108.90 inc. GST) is market-watching done properly. Where a notification service sends you links, Tracker watches every live feed Helm has, in every state, and shows the itemised maths on every match. That is the same full scoring the bigger tiers get, because we don't degrade intelligence to force an upgrade. The paid climb starts when you decide to actually bid one.

Regional Pro ($199 a month + GST, $218.90 inc. GST) is the working core for businesses that win close to home: bid workspaces with tender packs, the compliance matrix and the submission checklist, 15 AI deep reads and 2 AI-drafted sections a month. It is the smaller toolkit, honestly labelled: everything it has works fully, and the advanced analysis features live one tier up. You still see and track every tender nationwide, same as Tracker; the workspaces and AI tools work tenders in your own state.

National Pro ($399 a month + GST at founding pricing, $438.90 inc. GST) is the full toolkit, and the toolkit is the point: the step up buys capability first and geography second.

What the step up to National Pro buys

The analysis features that exist only on National Pro and above, working together on the same tender pack:

• Win Readiness Score and capability-gap analysis: where your profile is strong for a specific tender and where the evidence is thin, stated before you commit the hours.
• Contract clause flags: liability, indemnity, IP and termination clauses quoted from your own uploaded pack, so the lawyerly surprises surface on day one.
• Respond by the criteria: a second response outline built from the pack's own weighted evaluation criteria, next to the document-order one.
• The Opener: distinctive first-line suggestions per tender, grounded in your profile.
• Per-tender capability statement: assembled from the elements of your profile that fit this buyer.
• Instant match alerts: an email the moment a new 80+ match lands, instead of waiting for the digest.

The allowances scale to match (100 deep reads, 8 drafted sections, 200 pack questions a month, unlimited saved searches), and new workflow features land on National Pro first as they ship. And then the map: workspaces and AI work every state Helm indexes, with every future source included at your locked-in price.

Bid Desk ($849 a month + GST, $933.90 inc. GST) is for businesses responding to tenders every week. Unlimited deep reads and drafting on fair use, up to 3 users, everything in National Pro - plus the document lane: the ICN Gateway profile composer and the quad chart, your profile recomposed into the documents majors actually ask for, wearing your own brand. It costs less than one bid-consultant day a month.

Straight answers

• Is GST included? Prices are shown ex GST, because for a GST-registered business the ex-GST figure is the real cost. The GST-inclusive total sits beside every price on this page, checkout shows the GST as its own line, and your invoice itemises it. Nothing appears at checkout that is not already on the card.
• Lock-in? None. Month to month, cancel from your billing portal any time, access runs to the end of the paid month.
• Refunds? Cancel any time from your billing portal and your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then simply does not renew: cancel mid-month and the tier runs to the end of that month; cancel on annual billing and it runs to the end of the paid year. We do not refund part-way through a paid period.
• What counts as an active opportunity? Anything you are tracking in your watchlist. Untrack one and the slot frees up immediately.
• What happens when I use my month's AI allowance? The buttons show a running count, and when it's spent they say so and offer the next tier. Nothing fails silently, and the counter resets on the 1st.
• Chamber, association or enterprise? Talk to us. Chamber members get 20% off every paid tier's ex-GST price, with GST applying to the discounted amount (the same discount as annual billing; the two don't stack).
