Privacy, terms and how we handle your data.

Two documents govern Helm, and this page is the plain-English map of both. The Subscription Terms are the agreement for using the service; the Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled, including cookies. One legal text covers Helm Tenders and Helm Grants: same platform, same rules.

The terms, in plain English

• Helm finds and explains opportunities; it never submits anything for you, never asserts eligibility, and never predicts wins. The source portal is always authoritative.
• Helm is independent: not connected with, or endorsed by, any government or portal.
• No lock-in. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of what you paid for and does not renew. No change-of-mind refunds, and your Australian Consumer Law rights are never touched.
• Everything AI produces needs your human review before you rely on it. Your drafts are yours.
• Your data is yours; we take only the licence needed to run the service, and we never train AI models on it.
• Governed by Queensland law.

Privacy, in plain English

• We collect only what the service needs: account details, the business profile you build, product usage and billing (card numbers never touch us).
• One purpose: running Helm for you. Nothing is sold, nothing goes to advertisers.
• Named providers run the platform - Supabase, Stripe, Resend, Twilio, OpenAI and Anthropic - each limited to its job; AI providers cannot train on your text.
• No third-party tracking cookies, no ad pixels, no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
• Uploaded documents are deleted 90 days after their tender or round closes. Ask us to delete your account and it happens within 30 days.
• Complaints: us first, then the OAIC.

Data residency

Your account data and business profile live in Australia: the database and authentication run in the Sydney region, and the application is hosted in Australia. Payment processing, email delivery, mobile verification and AI processing involve data passing to the named providers for those purposes, some of it outside Australia; we store no personal information overseas ourselves. If a future customer or contract needs stricter residency, talk to us before signing anything.

Australian Privacy Principles

We run Helm in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth): collect only what the service needs, say what and why, use it solely to provide Helm, disclose overseas processing, secure it, and give you access and correction on request.
